Mary Cabela named chairman of the Trailblazer Adventure

The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation’s Trailblazer Adventure
Program will benefit from the leadership and dedication of one of the
most accomplished women involved in outdoor sports - Mary Cabela,
founding partner, Cabela’s, Inc.
She recently accepted the role of National Chairman for the
Trailblazer Adventure Program - the Foundation’s program designed to
encourage families to participate in outdoor sports. As an avid
outdoorsman, Mrs. Cabela sees the importance of the program.
“From a personal level, as a hunter, and as a businesswoman, I
understand the impact Trailblazer can have on the critical issue of
recruiting the next generation of sportsmen,” she said. “Through the
mentoring program, Trailblazer offers us a role to play in passing on
our passion for the outdoors – one family at a time.”
Mrs. Cabela was recently honored as Safari Club
International’s 2001 Diana Award recipient and has hunted big game all
over the world.
